1. Scope

This Code applies to all community spaces provided by Riyaaz Academy. That includes discussion boards, comments, messages, live sessions, recordings, events, and any other channels we host. It also applies to direct messages between members if those messages originate from or reference our community spaces.

2. Our Values

  • Respect for people, traditions, and ideas
  • Curiosity and openness to learning
  • Constructive feedback that helps others grow
  • Integrity in how we speak, share, and give credit
  • Care for the well-being and safety of every member

3. Expected Behavior

  • Speak to others with patience and goodwill. Assume good intent while being clear and specific.
  • Offer feedback that is actionable, kind, and focused on the work, not the person.
  • Credit sources when you share songs, poetry, translations, or teachings.
  • Use the appropriate channels for questions, critiques, and requests.
  • Follow moderator guidance and posted instructions for each space or session.
  • Protect private information. Ask before sharing someone’s content outside the community.

4. Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory language based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or nationality
  • Personal attacks, bullying, threats, or doxxing
  • Sexualized language or imagery, or unwelcome romantic attention
  • Spam, scams, or unsolicited sales pitches
  • Copyright violations or sharing paid course materials outside permitted use
  • Recording or redistributing private sessions without written permission
  • Impersonation of faculty, staff, or other members
  • Any activity that violates laws or platform terms

5. Access to Faculty and Mentors

Members may have the opportunity to submit questions to Sonny Mehta and other mentors. Access may vary by program and schedule. We do our best to respond, but we cannot guarantee individual feedback or response times.

6. Intellectual Property and Sharing

  • Course materials, recordings, and community content are for enrolled members only.
  • Do not repost, reshare, or republish content outside the community without explicit permission from Riyaaz Academy and the original creator.
  • When you share your own work, you retain your rights. You grant Riyaaz Academy a limited license to display your content in the community for educational purposes.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Do not share screenshots, recordings, or quotes from private spaces without permission from those involved.
  • Respect personal stories and sensitive topics. Ask before referencing them elsewhere.
  • Follow all applicable privacy and data rules for your location.

8. Commercial Content and Promotion

  • No unsolicited promotions, affiliate links, or sales messages.
  • Requests to collaborate or hire must be invited and clearly relevant to the community’s purpose.
  • Do not collect members’ contact details for marketing without their explicit consent.

9. Safety, Harassment, and Abuse

If you experience or witness behavior that puts someone at risk, alert the moderators as soon as possible. If you believe there is an immediate threat to someone’s safety, contact local emergency services first, then inform the moderators.

10. Reporting and Enforcement

To report a concern, email [email protected] with the details and any relevant links or screenshots. We review reports promptly and keep information as confidential as possible.

11. Moderator Actions

Moderators may take any of the following actions based on context and severity:

  • Private reminder or warning
  • Removal or editing of posts or comments
  • Temporary suspension from community participation
  • Permanent removal from the community
  • Restriction of access to specific features or spaces

Moderator decisions are made to protect the community. We may act without prior notice when necessary.

12. Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was made in error, you may appeal within 14 days by emailing [email protected]. Provide context and any evidence that supports your request. Appeals do not guarantee reversal.

13. Disclaimer of Responsibility

Riyaaz Academy provides the community on an as-is basis. We do not control or endorse user-generated content and are not responsible for opinions, advice, or statements posted by members. Riyaaz Academy is not liable for any loss, harm, or damages arising from community participation, events, or reliance on information shared by members. You are responsible for your interactions and for verifying information before acting on it.

14. Accessibility and Inclusion

We aim to make our spaces accessible. If you have accessibility needs, contact us so we can explore reasonable accommodations.

15. Minors

If minors participate, they must have appropriate consent and follow all applicable rules for their location. Content must remain age-appropriate. Adults must not solicit private contact with minors.

16. Live Sessions and Events

  • Follow the host’s instructions and time limits.
  • Do not record or distribute sessions without written permission.
  • Keep questions concise and relevant to the topic.
  • Respect the queue so all voices can be heard.

17. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Code to reflect new programs, tools, or legal requirements. Continued use of the community after changes means you accept the updated terms. We will post the latest date at the top of this page.
